OBJECTIVE
The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) enlisted Mindspace to help gamify the next iteration of their Top 100 Camp: a multi-day event where the best high school basketball players in the nation come to learn from current and former NBA players. In addition to basketball scrimmages and skill development, a key component of the camp involves presentations around making good choices off the court.
SOLUTION
We built a companion mobile app to support the presentations during the camp, which in turn gamified the entire “off-court” experience of the event. Players interacted with the app to answer questions and play games related to the presentation topics. Participation earned points for themselves individually and for assigned teams.
